Artist Lisa Pressman is known for her intuitive and conceptual abstract paintings – always with a subconscious narrative that reveals itself along the way. She has a unique gift of working with her students and helping them to discover underlying themes or emotions in their work. Her workshops are often transformative, as she helps her students excavate what is “really going on
in their work. This master class is an opportunity to bring your individual work and intentions to a place with other advanced artists. Students will come from many points in the US or International locations in order to  come together to  do their creative work, have centered conversations, see other art and ideas and grow deeper in their work, guided by Lisa Pressman as guid  and facilitator.

Artists who want to take their painting to a higher level of commitment and meaningfulness are invited to submit the easy application for Lisa’s Master Class.

Held in the advanced painting studio at Western Carolina University, artist will each have their own studio space to develop a small body of work and or experimentation with new ideas.

“My focus with the Master Level Workshops will be on content, inspirations and moving out of your comfort zone. We will be revisiting the fundamentals of design along with “freeing up” exercises, group collaborations, power points and demos that show new ways to approach your paintings. My interest is working with each artist to encourage new self-discovery and to push their work to the new level. Professional Development, Websites, getting your work out of the studio and into the gallery or other exhibitions will be covered.”

As is always the case when working with Lisa Pressman, expect the unexpected as her excellent intuitions and insights guide her teaching.

Applications are accepted until 12 students have been accepted.
