A wonderful opportunity to learn from the dynamic artist and teacher, Stuart Shils. The workshop is designed for the committed student who is a mid-range to advanced painter with some experience painting outside. The workshop involves 3 full days of painting with a directed focus involving such concerns as perceptual unity, drawing and compositional strategy, and color complexion.

"Exploring Personal Language with Mixed Media "
Lisa Pressman will work with each student with the goal of expanding personal vocabulary and vision through a series of exercises
that will loosen you up and also help you discover techniques of moving paint.
I will introduce you to the varied uses of R&F Handmade Pigment sticks.
We will be focusing on transparency and opacity, contrast and and variety in mark making.
Other materials such as graphite, ink, pastels and oil paint will be introduced along with cold wax."

Snow Hill is a charming historic town situated on the Pocomoke River
and minutes from the Assateague Bay. Clancy Studio is a newly created art space dedicated to supporting art events and workshops. It is located in Snow Hill's historic down town, composed of graceful buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Perfectly located, Snow Hill is a reasonable drive from major cultural centers;
Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, and NYC.
